Bible
We believe that the King James Bible is the Word of God for the English-
speaking people. It being the inspired, inerrant, infallible, preserved Word
of God. (II Tim. 3:16; Heb. 6:18b; Ps. 119:160; Ps. 12:6, 7)
God
We believe that there is one living and true God, Creator of all things,
and infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son,
and the Holy Spirit, co-equal in being, nature and having the same divine
attributes, but differing in their manifestation of work. (Deu. 6: 4; I Jn.
5:7)
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person co-equal with God the Father
and God the Son Who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment;
and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers
into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption
(John 16:8-11; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1:13-14).
We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing, (I Cor. 12:8-10) were temporary. We believe that speaking in tongues was never the common or necessary sign of the baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit and that ultimate deliverance of the body from sickness or death awaits the consummation of our salvation in the resurrection, though God frequently chooses to answer the prayers of believers for physical healing. (I Cor. 1:22; 13:8; 14:21-22).
Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God became
man, conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin, Mary. As God, Jesus
inherited no sin nature making Him the perfect sacrifice for mankind, thus
making Him the Savior. (Mat. 1:18-25; Heb. 10: 5-10)
Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. He
is a trichotomy being. Through Adam, sin and death entered the world and passed
upon all men. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 5:12-19)
Salvation
We believe that because of the fall of mankind and the penalty being
death both physically and spiritually, God provided the deliverance from this
spiritual death in hell by the Deliverer, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Salvation comes by repentance toward God and faith in the finished work of
the substitutionary death and the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:8,
12; Acts 20:21; Col. 1:14)
Church
We believe that the local church is an organized, autonomous assembly
of immersed believers having New Testament officers, practicing New Testament
ordinances and actively engaged in carrying out the “Great Commission”.
(Eph. 1:19-23; I Cor. 15:51– 53; Acts 20:17-28; Mat. 28: 19-20)
Rapture
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and the pre tribulation
rapture. (I Thes. 4:13-18; I Cor. 15:51– 53)
Separation
We believe we are to avoid, withdraw, receive not, come out from among
those who walk contrary to the Word of God and are not of like precious faith.
Examples: Disobedient brethren, W.C.C., liberals, and all forms of ecumenical
and charismatic movements. (Rom. 16:17-18; I Tim. 6:3-5; II Thes. 3:6; II
Jn. 10-11; I Cor. 6:17-18)
